Rendering Glint Films is a film production company founded in 2007 by Bhaveek Makan & Jashan Makan. From making short videos in their backyard, the Makan brothers decided to keep pursuing filmmaking whilst finishing off their university degrees. During the journey, they met up with other creative people who shared their passion for filmmaking.
Bhaveek Makan was born in Durban, South Africa in 1991 and moved to a small town in Newfoundland, Canada in 2001. In 2006, Bhaveek got involved with making short action movies with his friends to pass the time. In 2007, Bhaveek moved, with his brother Jashan, to Calgary, and they continued this passion whilst finishing school, and doing degrees that every South Asian would be proud of. This was the year Rendering Glint Films was created. After 6 years of being in the Biological Sciences & Pre Optometry program, Bhaveek decided to switch his Major to Business. In these 6 years, Bhaveek continued making short films, web series, and even a feature film. Bhaveek is a primarily a director and conceptualizer, but does act, direct music, produce and write as well. He is an extrovert who never shuts up. Bhaveek is currently a Business Marketing Student and is now pursuing filmmaking as a career because life is short and movies need to be made.
Jashan Makan was born in Durban, South Africa in 1993 where he lived most of his life as a shy, introverted human being. He moved to Canada in 2001 and was still very reserved. In 2005, he was introduced to filmmaking through his friend. While many of his peers spent their time playing video games, Jashan would spend his hours learning editing, cinematography and visual effects. Through working with cast and crew members on set, he was able to open up to people and share his passion. Jashan is self taught in editing, visual effects, cinematography, color grading and sound design. Over the years, he has continued making videos & films with his brother, Bhaveek, and has always been known for his versatile talents. Jashan is also a music producer, and does this as a hobby on the side while he focuses on filmmaking. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, and is now pursuing filmmaking full-time.
Bhavesh Chauhan grew up in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he began making stop-motion videos with a DV camcorder and later started making live-action short films in his teens once he moved to Calgary, Canada, in 2006. In high school, he took Drama classes and also met Bhaveek & Jashan Makan in Grade 11. Eventually he joined Rendering Glint Films in 2008 and his passion for filmmaking grew as he began to involve more of his friends in their projects. He spent the next 6 years working on a number of independent web productions ranging from shorts, music videos, web series, and feature films while in school. He attended the University of British Columbia Okanagan graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering in 2014, however after graduating he decided to pursue filmmaking full time.
While other kids played outside, a young Praneet Akilla watched countless films and pretended he was characters from all of them. He was enamored with filmmaking and its ability to give people an escape and make them feel. After moving to Canada in 2000, he started making his own short films and skits. Throughout high school, he starred in many school plays and musicals as Aladdin in Aladdin, George in Sunday in the Park with George, Moses in Prince of Egypt, and Sam in Mamma Mia! to name a few. Praneet recently completed his degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and still pursued the arts through college acapella groups and producing student films. As fate would have it, this led to him meeting RGF and starring in their feature film "Jewel Fools". Now a part of the RGF team, Praneet hopes to produce quality creative content to excite audiences everywhere.
Tesh Guttikonda writes. He's also been alive since 1990. Although born in India, he was quickly shipped away and moved frequently through most of his life till he finally settled in Canada. Which is where, despite being plagued by his indecisive nature, he managed to attain a dual major in Psychology and English which he regrets to this day. On the bright side, Canada was where he also discovered his passion for filmmaking. He's not indecisive about that, but strives to excel at it. His early experiences with traveling and getting acquainted with cultures around the world influence his work. He's proud of the versatility and unique perspective it provides him with. But really though, all you need to know is, Tesh just wants to make some great shit.

Andrew Peake. Grasping an appreciation of art and creativity in early 2016, he decided to change career paths and pursue his inner thoughts. Andrew was a rebel of academics, never caring about the academic system and always believing that there are different roads to success. Out of Senior high, Andrew went into commercial aviation to obtain a commercial pilot licence. During his flights he would stick a go-pro on the side of the flight deck to take pictures of the landscapes below. Quickly falling in love with the creative aspects of photography and cinematography, he got his talented hands on a DSLR camera. With lots of trial and error, he managed to enter the market as a freelance photographer and is quickly progressing into the professional stages of photography. He one day wants to hold the record for highest sold photograph. He strongly believes that life is an endurance test and not a race and likes to move proactively and consistently rather than quick and unprepared.
